Random May

May was a whirlwind. Rango, who was previously thought to be dead, actually was just hiding out in Zach's shorts drawer. He was mid dress when he found him so he ran outside in his underwear looking for a cricket or cockroach for poor Rango. Apparently he only had "30 minutes to live unless he got some food." Rango was extra skinny but eventually we got him back to good health.

May had lots of beach days at Wahweap swim beach with the Tates.

Cinco de Mayo treats...
We ran into the Hansens there too!

Rice Krispie Fruity Pebble treats on the beach. What more could I ask for??
We had a little dinner with the Hunts one night and just caught up with them. They are such fun friends.
Zach is cute.
I've been trying to ride the rim trail before it gets too hot...This view never gets old.
We sold our boat. Lots of great family memories on this sea worthy vessel. Our next boat will be just as great! Just need to find it:)
Whitney is a master on the magnets...
The boys found this little dove that was injured. Not sure what happened to this one in the end...
Another beach day with friends.
Thanks for yet another random idea, YouTube...

The kids made Disney/Pixar themed cakes for a mutual activity. Wreck it Ralph was their theme. They have such great leaders.

Andrew Cummings Birthday Party

2020 is shaping out to be a strange year. A year that will change the way we live our lives. I'm so glad I have this little crew to travel through life with...

Zach's in the double digits!

Zach had a pretty good birthday even though all of his presents were still in transit #covidproblems. He started the day off "herping" at the Hanging Gardens area with his herping buddies. He received well wishes and songs from grandparents and family. We ended the day with a little party with the Tates and Hansens. They were so sweet to bring gifts! We was thrilled to have some toys on his big day. Oh we love this kid so much. He really is just such a easy going little man.

My interpretation of a "bearded dragon cake". It's banana. Of course.

 Caught a horned toad...

Ropes Trail to the Colorado River

We made the trek down to the river using the ropes trail. The Olsens were troopers and came along. It's such a beautiful time of year to be outside. It was hard and hot work, and I'm so proud of the kids for doing something hard. I like to think they are always discovering just how strong they are and how many difficult things their bodies are capable of.

View as I lay on my back looking up.
