A Few Random Shots From January

Zach finished this floor puzzle all by himself and wanted me to take a picture of him with it. He could not be cuter...
So, our cat, Cougar, went missing while we were in Utah over Christmas. It was a very sad thing, especially for Whitney. We had all pretty much given up hope that she would come back since it has been so bitter cold and it had been 30 days since she'd been gone. Whitney prayed for her return and so did Whitney's friend, Abby. Well, 2 hours before we were going to leave for our Florida trip we get a call from Abby saying that she found Cougar at the grocery store! It was a miracle! She and her mom brought her to our house and poor Cougar was just fur and bones and shivering. We ended up taking her back to Whit's friend while we were gone and, while she was there, she put on some weight and is doing great now. It was pretty exciting over here to have our cat come back from the dead, so to speak.
The kids have been enjoying the MASSIVE amounts of snow that have come our way this year. Building caves in it has been fun. Josh has been playing in it as well! I pretty much avoid it unless I'm skiing on it:)

First Family Ski Trip of the Year...

We ran in to our good friends, the Crosby's while we were there. It was fun to go on a few runs with them.

I love all the snow formations they create in Jackson.
The kids are getting so good and it's great to play as a family. We look forward to a few more ski trips this winter!

Girls Day Out...

Whitney and I hit the slopes with her school today. It was great to spend some one on one time with my gal pal. She improved a bunch and even tackled "The Face". She did great and I was very proud of her for doing something that looked hard to her. I think she gained a little confidence too! There are lots of lessons to be learned on the slopes... I've said it before, but I love a good ski day!

Tyler's Baptism Weekend

We had some guests for Tyler's baptism this month. Both sets of grandparents came and also Taylor and Amanda. We loved having visitors! There was some snowmobiling...
I've never been up to the spring in the winter time. It was equally as gorgeous as when I go up in the other 3 seasons.

Grandma surprised Tyler with a BIG bear! He has been keeping this bear close to him ever since. My boys and their stuffed animals...

Then, the big baptism day came. It was such a special day with such a special spirit. I always get so emotional at baptisms and this one was no exception. I'm so pleased with my little man and for who he is becoming.

Lots of games to be played on the ipads and, of course, dominos. No photos of that...

 More snowmobiling...

 Zach was done...

What a fun weekend we had! It's always nice to have good occasions to bring us together as a family. Thanks to all those who supported Tyler and came to his baptism. We have the best friends and family in the world:)
