Random July

1st boating trip in July. Found a little "quick sand".

Our garden has started producing some veggies! We've also got corn and onions!

Another trip to Antelope Beach. I decided to dress like a pirate this day. Not my best look...ha!

We love it when the Larsons invite us over to swim!

She calls this the "George Washington".

We love our trips to St. George. There's the temple, shopping and swimming. Sometimes it's just nice to get out of town and have a change of scene for awhile.

We tried out a new beach. Stateline beach was not our favorite, but now we can say we've been there!
The boys found some toads in our window wells!

Noah came home from his mission to Winnipeg, Canada and Jonah left on his mission to Manila, Philippines.

All the chicks have gotten so big. Little Yeti is feathers ALL over her now!
Cougar is tiny now. Her hair makes up 50% of her weight apparently.

Anyway, July was so fun and I'm glad that we were able to pack so much in. Much of it went undocumented. We are really trying to make the most of each summer day!

At the Lake with the Christiansens

We love taking friends out on the lake. The Christiansens came with us this day and it was so fun! They are a great family with cute kids. They were so willing to try everything!

Rocky Mountain High...

We traveled to Colorado last week. It was magical. The boys kept saying how they wanted to live in Colorado. They will always have a special place in their heart for the mountains. We all do.
We spent time shooting a BB gun, riding 4-wheelers, RZR's, and motorcycles around Granny and Pops' property.

I took a picture of this coconut cake mix because I wanted to remind myself to look for it when we got home. I could not find it in Page or anywhere on line! I should have payed the $1.99 and bought it at the little grocery store in Antonito!

We took a trip to Trujillo Meadows and saw the waterfall. It was a stormy day, but still so beautiful.

We did some more exploring and went to one of Josh's old fishing spots.

More Fishing. Conejos River
We drove up to the Cumbres and Toltec railway and put pennies on the track to be flattened.  Such a picturesque valley with this cute little train that winds through it.

Mini horny toad

 Papa's old work truck.

The boys and I went golfing in Monte Vista. Sort of a ghetto course, but we had fun.

Josh caught a monster of a fish and smoked it. The kids loved watching the gutting process.

Josh and Brianne worked on a little Father's Day present for Maury. It was Josh's first welding project. It turned out super cool.

Then the Pioneer Day festivities stared off! The Parade was amazing with very creative floats. I love seeing the work that goes in to them. What a great little town.

Hanging out on blankets an chairs and being entertained. It's relaxing and fun to people watch.
Pops got the kids unlimited ride wristbands. The kids were in heaven.

I'm not even exaggerating when I say that the kids rode this ride over 30 times. There wasn't a line so they just kept riding it!

I loved watching the cousins together. They get along so well and just love being together. Like, really close together...on a couch, hahaha!
Day two of the Celebration. More parade and more entertainment.

We sure to love our trips to Colorado. What a beautiful place with some of our most favorite people in it:)
