Parades can be cool.

I'm normally not crazy about going to parades and encouraging my kids to pick up candy from the ground to eat later on. But, this parade was sort of unusual this year. Mainly because there was some weirdness involved. I love weirdness. Here is a unicorn. Cool.
Here is a car with two full sized adults in it. I couldn't stop staring at it. So odd.
Giant shopping cart. Love that idea.
They took home some good loot!

Celebrating the USA!

We rendezvoused with Grandma and Grandpa this year in Jackson. They were on their way home from a road trip and this was a great place to spend the 4th. The kids had never been as close to fireworks as they were here. I didn't get any good pics of the fireworks, but you can imagine. Here are some pics of us just hangin' out in Jackson.

We watched a wild west shootout. Tyler and Whitney thought it was a bit loud, but I think they still liked it.
Zach, on the other hand, could take it or leave it. It rained, so here he is taking shelter with grandpa.

 Waiting for the magic!
 Dancing.

I Had a Birthday, Shout "Horray"!

I turned 33 last week. Josh got a yummy cheesecake and ice cream for me. It was divine:)

Learning to Swim...

I put the kids in swimming lessons this year. They are having a blast and are learning so fast! Tyler likes to keep an eye on Whitney during her lesson. If you look close in this picture. He's seeing something he's not too sure about. Such a funny kid. I love seeing the kids learn a new skill.

Boating is fun with friends...

Our long lost friends, the Lancasters, were in town, from Arizona for a family reunion and we talked them into going to the lake with us. We had a blast and here's the proof!

Adam and Zach. It's so nice to see Zach finally smile...(I'm totally kidding, he's pretty much always happy- it's sort of the running joke that he's just always smiling.)

Aren't they just the cutest couple! I love it.

This has become my regular spot. I have a new appreciation for my dad, now that I'm the tube driver. Whitney could be dragged around the lake literally all day long if I'd allow it. She doesn't get bored. She wants to go so so fast (28!) and it's a little scary. I don't know how my dad drove us around all day long.

 Me and Becky.
We ended the day at one of my favorite restaurants around here, Tootsies in Alpine. Any day where I get to go boating and have pizza is a good day:)
Yay for friends and boating!
