Whitney is really catching on to sewing. She made this cute dress for her Rapunzel Barbie. (I don't know how anyone makes barbie clothes by the way. So tiny.)
She also made these cowboy bibs for grandma and grandpa.
She even made some "gaucho jammies". (I didn't have enough of this fabric to make long pants, so I'm calling them "gauchos".)
As for me, I went a little old school and made an embroidery handprint type craft of our family. Grandma taught me how to embroider a long time ago and I had forgotten how fun it was. The kids had fun picking out their colors- very bright.
My inspiration for it can be found here.
Another project I had fun with was making these little dresses. I came across this pattern and decided I could use up a lot of my scrap fabric by making these little newborn dresses. It seems like a lot of my friends and family are having little girls-so I thought these would make a cute gift with a matching clip, some leggings and ballet flats. Oh, I miss little girl clothes:( Once I got started on one dress, I couldn't stop, they are so easy to make and I loved designing/embellishing them. The inspiration and free pattern can be found here.
Thank You Pinterest for giving me so many craft ideas. You are making my winter more fun!
