Halloween Part 1

So we've had scads of Halloween festivities as of late. Library parties, community parties (no pictures of these) trick or treating through town with the Kindergartners, and a "mommy and daddy party". Below are the pics...

Josh and I went to our Halloween party as a polygamist woman and "Bob" the customer service rep. I know, we're not the most politically correct people you'll meet. I don't know what's wrong with us.

Have you ever seen higher hair?!

This party was so fun. There were some great costumes, this was one of my favorites from two of our favorite people. Yes, it's a bit disturbing, but so funny.We had some fear factor games that we were supposed to participate in as teams, but I made Josh do all of them.

This is a game where people dug through a bowl of dirt, earthworms and meal worms to find 5 marbles. Josh won when it was his turn. Must be the fisherman in him. There was no way I was doing this. Then since he won that, he advanced to the next round of eating a sardine and more worms. He did this but not fast enough. The meal worms were Mexican flavored so that wasn't bad, but the sardine was apparently the worst.
The next round was where contestants ate a live goldfish. One guy bit off the head. So gross.
The last event was where one guy gets tied up and stuck in a coffin- oh and then he gets crickets and worms dumped all over him. We time how fast he can get out and the winner gets a prize. We played minute to win it games after this- that was more my speed.

Fall Haps...

First of all, my big brother is cooler than your big brother. Chris finished Lotoja in early September. It is one of the longest single-day road cycling races in America. It was 206 miles and took a freaking long time to ride. We were so happy to have him ride through our town. What an inspiration he is. Grandma came up to see him race and the kids were happy to have her!

I've also been doing some crafting. I love grosgrain ribbon so I wrapped a wreath in it and threw some rosettes on there. Love colorblocking and love rosettes-this is what I came up with. I also made this Halloween skirt for Whitney. We took a four wheeler ride with some dear friends that moved away from here, but then came up for a visit. This is on top of "Balls" mountain. Don't ask. It was a pretty scary ride at times, seeing as I'm afraid of steep hills, but we made it just fine. You can't really tell, but there's a steep hill that drops off behind us. The boys had fun throwing rocks down it and seeing them bounce and fly to the bottom. We were so high up there.

No pictures of the pumpkin carving, my fingers were too slimy, but there was plenty of that, and also cookie making.My cute little pumpkins...

Doesn't Whitney look like she is SOOO too cool for school in this picture? Such a diva lately!

Here's a picture of the latest boy I'm in love with. Mmmmm...don't you just want to eat him up!
