Thanksgiving 2015

We headed to SL this weekend to meet up with Josh's parents since they were in town to celebrate Thanksgiving with the newlyweds. We had a great time catching up with family. We spent some time playing games at Taylor and Amanda's apartment. Zach really likes Jenga!

 We snuck in a little cousin time for Whit. She loves her cousins so much. Grandpa took them all to a trampoline gym.

 

 

 

 We hit a BYU game on our first night there. It was an exciting game and great to be in Provo again.

 For our feast, we headed to Rodizio Grill for a little Thanksgiving- Brazillian style. We were oh so stuffed by the end. It was painful...

 Zach wanted me to take a picture of the alligator on his shirt. I took advantage of this opportunity to get a picture of him while he was sitting still.

 We went bowling on Thanksgiving day!

 The kids did a little swimming at the hotel that granny and pops were staying at. The makeshift cast protector was not a success, so Zach didn't swim very long.

 We took Zach to Boondocks while the other kids went to the trampoline place. Josh and Zach did this cool flight simulator.

 We also made a trip to Cafe Rio, which is always nice! The kids loved hanging out with uncle Taylor and their new aunt, Amanda.

We truly have a lot to be thankful for...

Random November Roundup...

Well November flew by for me this year. Here's a little bit of what I got on camera amid the craziness of it all. 

Zach was sad that we had to throw away his tiny pumpkin from grandma. He was such a tender heart and has a hard time parting with things and people. I told him we'd take a picture so we could remember it. He's on the brink of tears in these pictures:(

I got a little crafty.

Grandma and Grandpa came for the kids primary program. Whitney sang a duet and the boys did a great part on their parts.

While grandma was here she helped Whitney with her crocheting and even made Zach a blanket for "spike".

Zach got his cast off for a little bit but then it was determined that his arm hadn't healed enough so the doctor put another one on. Zach was ok with it. I took a picture of his cast because he didn't want to get it taken off since he would miss it. We actually brought it home. Not sure what I'm going to do with it...

 

The boys participated in the annual Turkey Trot race. They did a great job and ran their little hearts out.

The kids had fun playing in the first snow of the season.

Tyler even chipped in and did a little shoveling for me!

We went to a little community event where Zach was able to talk to an elf on the phone. Pretty entertaining to watch him talk to the person on the other end. 

We're excited for all the fun December will bring...

The Quest for the Perfect Christmas Tree

 We set out early this year for our Christmas tree. I wanted a real tree and Saturday was the only day Josh had available before December to go. We headed across the street on our 4 wheeler and started hiking up the backside of the mountain in front of our house. I had never been back there. It was pretty! 

 

After a short hike, we (Josh) found our tree! Josh cut it  down and he and I hauled it out.

 But, first I had to get a picture from the top of the mountain. Our valley sure is big from up here.

 Then, as it always does, the tree grew much bigger once it got inside our house.

 We decorated it a couple of days later. The kids love all the ornaments we have. It's fun for them to remember making them and too see pictures of themselves when they were smaller.

 So, while it isn't even Thanksgiving yet, I guess we'll welcome the Christmas holiday into our November since we have the tree and all! I have refrained from decorating the whole house. I will wait until after Thanksgiving for that. I do, however think I'll put up my lights today...
