Tyler is playing basketball this winter and it's so fun to watch. He's coming along great. Here are some pictures of that action.

Mini vacation!
We headed a couple hours north for a little mini vacation on Monday.
The plan was to go night skiing, but with how sad the snow has been
these last couple of weeks, we ended up going to a trampoline gym. It was SO much fun. The pictures aren't that great. My camera wasn't snapping at the right time and I didn't really want to take the time to figure it out! Here's what I DID get though.
Tyler was probably the happiest about this activity. He learned how to do a backflip!
Going out for dinner.
After the trampolines, we headed to the hotel for a little swim time.
Then it was bed time. I brought donuts so as to carry on the tradition of my parents. It seems like no matter how late we got in to a hotel, growing up, Dad always went for donuts and chocolate milk. You can't go wrong with donuts!
Then we got comfy and watched a movie.
What a fun little get away! We need to do this more often:)

Weekend Mountain Adventure...for real.
The plan was pretty simple: Snowmobile in to a mountain cabin. Sleep, eat and play there. It wasn't quite that simple. It truly was an adventure. We faced obstacles and had to even get our Macgyver on at times. At one point, I kid you not, we were driving neck and neck with a moose. We were probably 2 yards away from it. It was SOOO scary. It just wouldn't move over and get off the trail!
Here's how it all went down. We had two snowmobiles and two toboggans filled with all our stuff. We left around 4. While on the 28 mile trek, we lost a sleeping bag and lid to our food tote (which we had to go back and retrieve). That was a mild hiccup. No big deal. At around mile 8, my sled broke down. It was toast. After 45 minutes of waiting for someone to come by to help us, we got some help from some other snowmobilers who towed the machine back to the parking lot. Luckily, the family that we were going with showed up at about that same time. We smooshed all 10 of us onto 3 sleds and reached the cabin 3 hours later, driving most of the trip under the stars. The trip was supposed to take an hour! When we got to the cabin, we filled our bellies with warm soup and bread and eventually went to sleep. It was quite the evening.
There was lots of snowmobiling going on. The kids all took a turn. Whitney only buried her machine once!
The area we were in was called Greys River. It was easily one of the most beautiful places I've seen. I can't believe I've lived here for 9 years and never been to this part of Wyoming. It's only 45 minutes from our house! There were license plates from all over the west here. Now I know why. It was beautiful. I wish the pictures could capture it's beauty. Winter is so pretty here. I definitely want to go back there in the summer to see what it looks like.
On our way back, we came across this tree that had fallen during the night. I'm so glad we didn't come across it on our way there, although I wouldn't have been surprised if we did. Luckily, we were able to skirt over the top of it instead of moving it.

Lisa and I snowshoed to the Box Y lodge. It was so cute! Looked like something out of a fairy tale. There was lots of snowmobiling going on. The kids all took a turn. Whitney only buried her machine once!
Tyler taking me for a ride.
Here the kids are pigging out on candy. This took about 5 minutes.

Making a snowman.
I try to make one snowman a year and this was the one we made. It's not beautiful, but it's enough to check it off my list!
Getting ready to make the trek back home.
