We started our Puerto Rican Adventure by flying out of Las Vegas. Zach was not as bored as he looks. He actually really likes flying on airplanes...
Rented our car and headed to our Airbnb in San Juan. We went to church the next day. They had headsets and a translator there. It was great! Zach commented that "they actually have good stories!"
Just had to document how massive their avocados and mangoes are!
We headed to the El Morro Fortress and saw some interesting wildlife. The cats weren't interesting, but they were everywhere.
Zach was loving all the Iguanas.

It was a beautiful day for kite flying. we really had the best weather every day we were there.

A picture of some of my favorite Puerto Rican Foods. Two canoas (sweet plantain canoes with the most amazing chicken chunks and sauce on top), mofongo (liked mashed potatoes from plantains and more solid) and amarillos (fried sweet plantains) on bottom right. Delish!

We arrived in Luquillo and were lucky to have a beach right across from our townhouse. This place was magical. We loved the beach and this quiet neighborhood.
Zach found a house gecko, and named him Bruno.

We headed back into the forest for some more hiking and sightseeing on the 4th day.
Proof that not every moment was amazing. People got tired. People got cranky. People were human.

Then we paid a man to go into his back yard and slide down the natural waterslides there. It was very cool and that water wasn't that cold for a river! Certainly a unique experience for us all.

Back to our house for some beach relaxation...
We headed to Vieques on day 5. This plane held 9 people including the pilot. It was a very short flight. Less than 10 minutes.
Can you guess what Zach did when we got to our next house? Yep. Lizard hunting in the backyard.
We basically beach hopped on Vieques. We saw some cool things under water like a manta ray, sea turtles and even a stingray swimming with the longest tail!

Navio Beach. This was a ROUGH beach. I got pretty rallied in the waves. The kids had a BLAST! I had fun, up until the headache and blood....Waves are no joke!
