Sunday Hikes...

We took couple of hikes this March to break up the monotony of being quarantined. The Larsons and Mallavias have proven to be great hiking buddies.

Our first hike was to Skylight Arch. We found some hoodoos on the way there...

Then the next Sunday, we went to blue pools arch and also took a trip under the highway through a small slot canyon.
We found the geocache that we found while up here with the Hopewells.

Oh it feels so good to get outside...

Random March

Uhhh...This has been a strange month. The Corona virus pandemic has infected all our lives somehow. Currently the kids will not be going back to school for this school year. We are trying to practice social distancing. We don't go anywhere except the grocery store and occasionally the post office. Luckily we have been able to do some outdoor things like running, biking, pickle ball, tennis, and of course looking for lizards on the rim trail. It is a bit overwhelming at the moments. Trying to figure out how to be a teacher at home and not being able to really go anywhere to change it up. Even the beaches and some hiking areas are closed. It's ridiculous.  Anyway, here are some pictures of the randomness on top of the other randomness.
I got new shoes and everyone hates them in my family except me. I have never had a pair of shoes as delicious as these. They are the stuff of dreams.

Made our traditional skillet bread to go with our St. Patricks day meal. (corned beef and cabbage)
Yearly labor of love. I got all 14 layers in this year. We also have diabetes now.
The boys built a shelter in the back yard to quarantine in. You can never be too safe.
Hit the range with some friends. We are not great at social distancing yet.

Found a lizard with two tails or something like that. You'd have to ask the herpetologist.

They caught a bark scorpion. Apparently it's the most venomous scorpion in North America, so that's nice...

The boys have had friends over to help them catch these critters.
We went to St. George for some Dr. appts. Here, Whitney is learning how to use a telephone...

Ping pong is their jam...
We completed this bear of a puzzle. it was SO hard! I think I caught the bug though and I'm a fan.
I asked Zach to play with my hair. He wanted to document his creation...
Puzzle #2. This was a delightful little gem...
 Quarantine life...
Unfortunately we had to bury "Larry" the largest of Zach's spiny lizards. It was so sad...No idea how this one died.
Tyler getting all domestic and frosting some coconut cupcakes with rum coconut cream cheese frosting. Delish!
Josh and Tyler did a little hike to this little arch out in the Paria area. It was an 8 mile hike. They are awesome hikers.

Well, we are SO uncertain of what the future holds. We literally just take things a day at a time and try to make the most of each day. I thought this would feel more like summer. But, it just doesn't. Anyway, let's do this.

Track Star...

Tyler had his first (and possibly last, thanks Corona) track meet earlier this month. It was so fun to watch him race. I hope he keeps up this running because I love having a running partner. Although, he's hard to keep up with!! He ran the  4x800 relay, the mile and the 800.
