A few cute people I know...
I sure love this little guy, but he was NOT being very photogenic at this particular photo shoot. Will have to get a shot of him another time.

Another day at the lake...
We found an ok beach on palisades. It got a little muddy though. Whitney was in heaven! She's a magnet to dirt and mud. She gave herself a little mud bath...Ewwwww.
Most of the time was spent skipping rocks. Josh gave the kids a quick tutorial and they caught on quickly. As it turns out, I cannot skip rocks. Whitney and Tyler can though! I guess I need more practice.
Josh giving Whitney a mandatory swim lesson...
The water was still quite cold, but I got out on the tube with Whitney anyway. Whitney could have stayed on all day. I was a little nervous. My childhood was filled with treacherous tube rides, I was so afraid I would fall into the freezing water like back in the day. Josh used his better judgment, though. Josh is getting really good at surfing. One day I'll take some video. It's a little tricky to drive and take video and watch kids though;) If only we had people who would come boating with us...hint, hint.
We headed over to the bridge and the kids had fun watching Josh jump off of it. I SO can't wait until the water gets warmer for me to jump in too!

First cookout of 2012...
We were able to get up into the mountains this weekend, well I guess technically we live in the mountains, but we were able to get FURTHER up in to the mountains to get our first of hopefully many cookouts in this year. Josh took the kids fishing and we took turns on the 4 wheeler.
Whitney found a stump that had ants or termites on it so of course she stripped all the bark off and started messing around with them. She says she found the queen in a hole and pulled her out. Eeewwww. She is so fascinated with bugs and creepy crawly things. I think we may have a budding biologist on our hands. Look how happy she is with her bugs!
Then we told ghost stories. Whitney is quite the storyteller. Our favorite is the three fingered clown...
Up until this morning, having all three kids home was a breeze (It's been 3 days). This morning, however, I think I'll sign Whitney up for summer school...AHHHHH!!!! I hope one day they learn to like each other!
Dear Summer, stop running away from us...
Summer isn't quite in full swing over here yet. We've been trying to will it here by going to the lake and pretending like it's warm and sunny and oh so summery. It's not really working. There was a couple of hours where Mother nature was cooperative last weekend so we took advantage of that and played on the beach and did a little boating. The second we got off the lake, the storm clouds came back. Mother Nature sure is a fickle thing. Thanks for the few hours of sun though, ma'am....
Here are a few pictures I managed to take. These kids could play in the sand all day long-rain or shine.
