Yesterday was the Park City Half Marathon. It was a beautiful run, but harder than I had anticipated. Thanks to my Dad who got me up there at the crack of dawn and then cheered me on on the course. Also thanks to Josh and my Mom who got up there with the kiddos. It was important to me that Whitney saw that I do more than just clean up stuff and lay down the law at home. I wanted her to know that there's more to me than just "mom stuff"- not that
"mom stuff" is bad- but you know what I mean- I won't go into my whole philosophy on that subject right now. She didn't seem impressed by the whole running thing though. One day... Okay so for my stats:
19th in my class (25-29 age division)
finished in 2 hours 23 seconds.
averaged a 9:11 second mile
156th overall
83rd female
This is all out of 500 people in the race.
I wasn't really trying to break any records, I mainly wanted to do 9 minute miles, and I came pretty close. I think I started out way too fast, but I couldn't slow down. Adrenaline I guess. I was doing 5 minute miles for the first 3 miles. Crazy girl.
This is me running. Sorry about the backside shot, I'm not a very photogenic runner.
