Miscellaneous August stuff...

Here are a few random pics of our August. 

We spent some time at the pool. I love a good pool day. 

 The kids attempted to sleep out on the tramp. Cougar even joined in on the fun....

 August was a little soggy for us. The kids had fun in the rain anyway...

 Whitney and Tyler went to a golf clinic. Tyler was not a fan. Whitney had fun though.

 Our garden did OK this year! This was the first year our raspberries produced berries!

 We did a little family driving range action. It was such a beautiful evening.

 We've been doing a few things with the YSA in our ward this year. One guy brought mentos and soda pop. Put them together and we had some bombs. Pretty entertaining.

 Since it rained quite a bit. The kids had to entertain themselves indoors. Whitney and her BFF pretty much just tried on crazy random clothes. Here's one of their outfits...

 Sometimes Zach and I have to sit in the car and wait for stuff. He goes a little nuts.

 Cougar has won the battle of who gets the pots. My flowers are shot. She loves sleeping in this pot. Next year, I'm planting cactus.

  My good friend Patience and I have been working on our golf game. As you can see, I was in the sand here. I sure hate the sand.

 Here are a few of the neighbor kids playing night games... We love our neighborhood kids. So entertaining.

 

The last marshmallow roast of the summer...possibly. This was taken the night before school started. 

We are sad to say goodbye to summer, but sort of excited at the same time. We look forward to fall fun.

The Hopewells came to town!

 Josh's sister and her family came to our little town for a couple of days this week. It was one of many stops on their family road trip. My kids were so excited to have cousins here to play with, especially Whitney. She had Maddie to hang out with.

 

 She gets a little tired of being around the boys all day. We we spent a lot of time outside. We went up to Cottonwood and had lunch and did some 4 wheeling and exploring...

 

 We tried to catch many squirrels, but they were not having any of that...

 We met these two new cuties during this visit too! Grace and Emily are our newest cousins and they are adorable!!

 Tyler played with sticks in the fire. (Shocking, I know.)

 Here is Zach in his "house". The highlight for him was showing people the "laundry room" and the picture of a squirrel that he had in it. It was an actual squirrel sitting on a stump. The squirrel didn't move so maybe that's why he called it a picture. I love this kid's imagination.

 

We had a great time visiting with family, watching movies, eating, hiking and just getting to know them better. We sure love the Hopewell's!!

Palisades #5

 We had another great trip out to Palisades this week. This time we took our good friends, the Howells. It was such a beautiful day, probably the best all year. The water was so nice and the weather was HOT. Not much more you can ask for. Here are the pics!

This is the first time we've done any cliff jumping at Palisades. Not sure how we didn't see these before. As I sit here typing this, I don't know why I didn't do any jumping. Weird. I think the sun had gone down and I was cold. Being cold is something I don't do very well.
