What we've been up to...because you're dying to know.

Well, Tyler has been up to teasing his sister (always crowding her shot!). I wanted to post this picture, mainly so my sisters and Mom could see it. I don't know exactly who gave me this skirt, I'm thinking it was a skirt my grandma brought me back from Scotland- has the fancy pin in it and everything. She also gave one to each of my sisters. I love seeing Whitney wear it. She looks way cuter in it than I did. I was a bit of a chubster back in the day:)

Tyler and Whitney have been riding the bikes they got for Christmas. Tyler picked up on it really fast. He's all set for the summer time! Unless he forgets how to do it between now and August:(

I have been doing a few crafts lately. Around this time every year, I just get so restless. I want to change all the colors in my house and completely start over. I think I'm just stuck inside my house too much that it literally drives me crazy. I don't have any Valentines decorations so I made these two. This first one cost me nothing, well, I already had all the supplies on hand. A hanger, scrap fabric, trim, and glue and some embellishments. I love crafts like that where you can use up old stuff that's just cluttering up your house. Both of these crafts were like that. The frame was $1.25 at the grocery store. SWEET! I made this little ballet slipper tote for Whitney, mainly because I am CRAZY about this fabric and I needed to do something with the scraps that I had left over from my skirt (I have not actually finished the skirt, but when I do, I may show you. If I can pull it off, it will be a sewing miracle! Chevron fabric is NOT easy to work with- gotta match up the zigs with the zags- headache!) Even I get a little OCD with it, and I'm not the OCD type. ANYWAY, this next craft is not even really worth mentioning, but I will. I saved this bottle from New Years. I knew there was some way I could utilize it. I just loved the shade of green- very Wizard of Oz-ish- I wanted to keep it, but how? This is how. Not really functional, but it still makes me smile. I sure like those colors together.

This last project has been one I've wanted to do for a long time. I remember seeing this little shirt on Whitney for the first time and knowing exactly what I was going to do with it. After 5 1/2 years I have finally done it. I put all three of my babies hospital shirts in a shadow box with their names. They look pretty plain, but I still like to look at them.
So ya, that's what we've been doing over here.

Whitney started ballet and is doing very well. She started the class a few months late, but is catching on quickly. She can do a killer chassé (sha-say) (yes that's the correct spelling- I googled it. LOL, I'm so sure I know how to spell that.) I can't wait for the recital in May- she gets to dance with a parasol- it's almost as big as her:)
Anyway, that's our January in a small nutshell. Pretty uneventful, but that's how I like my January's.

Zachary at 8 months

Today Zachary is 8 months old.

This is pretty much what he does all day. He is such a happy, giggly little man. He is so adored by us all. We all just love kissing those chubby little cheeks all day long! He's still extremely patient. He gets mauled by the other two(and sometimes me) and he just laughs- hardly ever gets upset, which can be a bad thing when your brother is dragging you by the arms across the floor, or pinching your nose shut, or sticking his finger in your eye or sucking on your toes...the list goes on. I always tell him he needs to make more noise. If he's anything like the other two, that day will come soon:)

More of baby Zach

At 8 months Zach is sitting up on his own and rolling around like a champ. He's not a crawler yet, but is rocking on his knees. He has two very sharp teeth on the bottom and loves to chew on anything you put in front of him. He's an awesome sleeper and napper- which I don't take for granted, trust me(been there, done that) . He babbles a bit and I'm convinced there's no sweeter sound than the voice of a baby.
I think he is going to keep his blue eyes (yay!). I wanted one of my kids to have my eyes and he does! We love our little Zachy-pooh to bits!

Christmas Break!

We had such a fun Christmas break playing, although I wasn't very good at documenting hardly any part of it. Here are a few occasions that I did get...

I had three things that I wanted to accomplish over Christmas Break and building a snowman and sledding were two of them. It was a good thing I did it at the beginning of the break, because by the end of Christmas break, it was only 8 degrees outside!The third thing I wanted to do was go bowling. Check. Of course there was Christmas Morning. The kids were thrilled and so grateful for what they got. Warmed my heart. Zach really enjoyed the tape he found.

We went over to my Grandma's house and met the rest of my family there. We had every grandkid there(21!). It is a pretty rare occurrence so we were so happy to be there. Zachy turned 7 months old. Love this little guy!I love Christmas break, the movies, parties, food, reading, wearing jammies all day and just general fun. (Although to be honest, I was a little worried that Whitney and Tyler were going to permanently damage their relationship by being together this much. So much fighting! They were getting a long and playing great by the end.) Seems like everyone just slows down and relaxes a bit-even Tyler! (After searching all over the house for Tyler, this is where I found him. He fell asleep during dinner apparently.)We have felt very blessed this Holiday season. We are so thankful for our Savior. Not a day goes by that we don't recognize His hand in our lives and the purpose His life gives to ours. I 'm really looking forward to 2011 and know there are good things in store for all of us. I've got the resolutions down and this year I'm going to knock them out(hopefully-last year I got 4 out of 14 done...boooo.) Happy New Year to everyone!
