1st Annual Drive, Chip & Putt

The boys participated in the Drive, Chip and Putt challenge put on by their golf instructor at the end of golf camp. I was proud of them for participating and doing their best.

Youth Conference in Zion National Park

I was invited to go to Youth Conference with the youth in our ward this year. I was so excited to go because it was in Zion National Park. I think it's such a beautiful place. One of the highlights was taking a 7 mile hike. We drove to the top and hiked a fairly flat/uphill area and then made the long decent down after reaching the Overlook Point.

We were higher than Angel's Landing (seen below on the middle of the pictures.)

Little squirrel with a death wish...

 Shots of the narrow trail.

We played in the river at the end and raced the boats that the kids made the night before. It was such a great couple of days with such great people.

Random June

June did NOT fly by, which is exactly what I wanted. I really tried to make sure we did something "summer-ish"every day. Summers Break is so short in Arizona so you really need to have a plan so you can make the most of each day you have off from school.  Here are a few of the random things we did in June to have fun.

Doing Rockets with Pops.
Zach climbed our beautiful Mimosa tree.
We had some friends from Star Valley who had car trouble in Page. We were so happy we could help out these weary travelers. The kids loved that they came with kids and a DOG! They had so much fun playing with them.
 Drone show...
Some days we pretend to be tourists. On this day, we went to the Colorado River Overlook. Of course I bribed them with ice cream. We typically don't go outside during the day unless there is a body of water nearby...

Sitting on the hammock watching a water fight...

 Father's Day...
Oh you haven't heard of Father's Day Jello? Ya. This was what we call a Pinterest Fail. It tasted pretty good though!
Yeti is slowly growing and getting more feathers. The boys adore her and all of the chickens.

The boys did a Golf camp twice a week in June. Tyler has really caught the golf bug!
Another day of being tourists. This time at the Powell Museum.

Of course there was a treat at the end... Rainbows from RD's are always a good idea.

Whitney had a girls vacation with her friend to Gilbert, AZ She got spoiled rotten and I was so glad for it!
